Xeloda in neoadjuvant treatment for operable breast cancer

The study was designed to analyze tolerance, toxicity and response to neoadjuvant polychemotherapy including xeloda (CAX, CMX) for patients with operable breast cancer. The study showed that neoadjuvant chemotherapy with xeloda resulted in a high response rate as compared to the standard FAC and CMF regimens providing a significant increase in the percentage of organ-preserving surgeries for these patients.
