The experimental study of local strength of vertebral body bone tissue

The strength, rigidity and limit of elasticity of vertebral body cancellous bone tissue have been studied experimentally using ThXII and LI anatomic preparations. It has been established that the mentioned characteristics of cancellous bone tissue differ significantly in different parts of vertebral body. In the central parts in vertebral waist projection the limit of elasticity of bone tissue is 29,2±16,4 % less in comparison with the parts adjacent to closing plates. The rigidity of cancellous bone in the central parts of vertebral bodies is 6,45 % less than that in the parts adjacent to closing plates. The limit of elasticity of bone tissue in the central parts of vertebral bodies is 27,5±16,84 % less than that in the parts adjacent to closing plates.
