The present study is concerned with the names of fish, meat and dairy products as well as the basis they give for nicknames and surnames mentioned in written monuments of Perm region of the XVI - early XVIII centuries. The lexics and onomastics reveal the Russian North food culture continuity, preservation of the basic traditions of this culture in the Prikamye region of the XVI - XX centuries, language and cultural connection of the Russians and the Komi-Permyaks. The Perm ethnographic data of the XIX - XX centuries are enriched with the results of the official documents of the XVI - early XVIII centuries analysis, which is valuable for ethnography as well as for history of the Russian language and onomastics.
