The article also formulates the concept of societal digitalization, within which an analysis of the potential threats to cultural security associated with this process is presented. The authors divide them into two main types: 1) social, destroying the identity of society and socio-cultural institutions; 2) personal, negatively affecting the personal identity of Russians. The analysis of social and personal threats to national cultural security is given. It is established that digitalization serves as an axiomatically neutral technical means for the modern-ization of various spheres of social activity and the social organization of society. However, to prevent the potentially destructive impact of digitalization on national cultural security, it is imperative to impose significant restrictions on its application within the realm of spiritual culture, including education, science, art, and religion.
