Cultural policy and national-state sovereignty

Modern culture stays in crisis because the global community today is focused on a consumption process and the economic development in general, and that’s the reason why its cultural component diminishes. According to the author of the article, Russia needs to free itself from the dictates of the Europe in this matter and engage in supporting its own culture, not only by financing theater or cinema, but also by supporting the institutions of socialization, historical heritage, cultural continuity, education, etc.
