In the article under the strategy of cultural interaction refers to the state cultural policy that aims: to preserve their own culture in the fullness of its immutable identity (cultural sustainability), or its gradual modernization with varying degrees of perception and assimilation of external cultural influences (cultural variability), isolation of national culture from any other cultural influence, or development of intercultural interaction with representatives of another culture (other cultures), for various reasons, living in the country. An overview of the main cultural strategies for interaction with other cultures population, carried out by different States throughout history, allows to group them into the three main type implemented in a particular version, and sometimes in parallel, in any combination: isolationism, assimilation, and multicultural. It seems that already a necessity in the formation of some kind of synthetic cultural strategy, which equally includes elements of all three models discussed above, offsetting the weaknesses of one by the advantages of another.
