The cultural component of pedagogical education

To be a cultured person is a key qualification of a teacher. This fact requires pedagogical education to develop new approaches to education content, encouraging teachers to comprehend humanistic heritage of the past and realize the present, to accumulate knowledge based on the principles of humanism and development of spiritual culture. The paper describes the experience of Kazan State Pedagogical University in psychological, pedagogical, and culturological training of teachers-to-be. Formation of new pedagogical thinking, which assists teachers to adopt culture and human values, is given top priority
