At the end of the 20th century people’s effect on the processes of the biosphere reached its own highest level. Today’s young generation witnesses the occasions of local and municipal ecologic collapse. In this complicated phase, the scientific-theoretical, practical, educational and cultural significance of ecology is boosting rapidly. Assessing the state of environment, providing that necessary measures should be organized on time depends on how much the level of ecological knowledge has been developed.

As the nature is a unique habitat for a person, it provides all people with different food products, clothing, estate, water, fresh air, soil and a family of plants which produce oxygen. A person is born and lives in nature and uses all the benefits inside it. That’s why, every person should be kind to the environment, should use all the benefits that suffice to his or her own needs, should prevent the environment from different kinds of pollution and should make clear whether unpleasant occasions will happen in advance or not.

The real reason why people misbehave to nature is that they haven’t learned ecological knowledge and awareness enough. If they become neglectful while performing practical activities which are against to nature rules, they will exceed the level of environmental pollution.

Since people’s ecological knowledge is a key factor in environmental protection, we should also make sure that we have a high level of ecological mindset and improve it from time to time. All people should be always positive to the environment and be educated that they won’t do any harm. Every person should realize the following concepts with their mind and heart: “Nature is I and You”, Nature is a place we live in, a unique habitat all people in the world live”.

It is much clearer from the past that developing the people’s mind and ecological manners are to be unlimited. As long as a person is educated till the last day of their lifetime, the main part of this upbringing makes up a behavior to be caring, faithful and merciful. As a child is brought up in kindergartens for 3-6 years, this period functions as a basis foundation for shaping their attitude to the environment. In this period you can find all children interested in everything, so the babysitters in kindergartens should try to explain every child the primary knowledge about natural phenomena, trees, flowers, and science as well in a simple way. These children had better get the primary knowledge about animals, domestic animals and plants by reviewing albums and reading colorful books. They also should differentiate them too. This will bring them fruitful benefits when we start to explain the following expressions, like activities that are useful, necessary, very vital or very bad, harmful, toxic or dangerous.

Ecological behavior consists of the following sections:

  • 1.    Bring up students and pupils, urging them to love the beauty of nature and to get aesthetic enthusiasm;

  • 2.    Teach your children about the principles of the development of alive and inanimate world and about the mutual complex relationships between nature and society, and also about the consequences of the influence of human activities;

  • 3.    Teach them ecological culture.

What lies on the basis of ecological behavior and culture is to love nature and use it efficaciously. This will help to build up the qualification of realizing being responsible for our nature and environment.

Patriotism begins from loving and protecting nature. Unless we form the feeling of love for nature in our students’ heart and mind, it will not be possible to teach them to be patriotic. Spending some time in an open air not only encourages a person, but also increases their professional, work potential and resourceful activities. Ecological behavior includes the following matters:

  • a)    Teaching people special ecological knowledge and manners, helping them become well-qualified in this field;

  • b)    Tutoring how to make predictions for ecological changes;

  • c)    Developing ecological culture;

  • d)    Instructing people to use the fruits of nature properly.

Ecological behavior is an inseparable part of ethical behavior. Developing people’s ecologically cultural habits and outlook assists them to understand nature relatively. We should pay greater attention to train students who have already learned the importance of this behavior, getting more responsible for nature.

Neighbourhood, which is called in our Uzbek language as mahalla, is one of the factors which influences positively on developing people’s ecologically cultural habits. Mahalla differs from other self-managing institutions with the next attributes:

  • 1.    Mahalla bring most people together in one place;

  • 2.    Mahalla is also swarmed with lots of people;

  • 3.    Mahalla has been saving up our national customs and traditions formed in the past times.

  • 4.    People can gather in the particular part of mahalla and can do volunteer work to prosper it.

Moreover, since mahalla also contains educational organizations, such as secondary schools, culture centers, mosques, and other social organizations, it has a fundamental effect on the people’s political, economic, religious, and ecological development. Ecological culture is formed as ecological mind as follows: family, kindergarten, school, college and lyceum, universities or institutes, production factories, and mahalla. Certainly, these organizations are really vital. For example, the family influences vastly on the development of ecologically cultural habits because our parents teach us what’s right and what’s wrong and also how to preserve our surroundings. Also, society, mass media, good experts and specialists of religion contributes much to the development of the ecologically cultural behavior.

Ecological mind has a lot more in common with ecologically cultural habits. Gaining this prowess leads you into becoming a master of ecological culture.

Making tours to nature and environment matters in developing youths’ ecological behavior and knowledge. Ecological education plays an essential role in protecting nature, using it efficiently and improving ecological conditions. Ecological state in different countries and feature of using the fruits of nature depends on people’s ecological literacy and cultural habits. Ecological education is an issue which UNO, UNESCO, UNEP and WOZ organizations focus on. They are holding special meetings and international seminars in most countries in order to develop ecological know-how. One more thing, a specialist of every field of study should be ecologically well-educated and should not harm the environment while performing their professional activities. Thus, they should also contribute to developing ecological knowledge.

That’s why, training youths to appreciate flora and fauna and urging them to be kind to nature is not an ordinary issue. However, it is a much more crucial and acute matter. We will have bright future only if we teach and bring up healthy, well-behaved, hardworking, honest, and intelligent youths. The 20th century demands us highly on protecting environment. Therefore, every person should behave positively to nature, should use its fruits well and should contribute to preserving the area where they live.
