Cultural codes of corporeity: concerning reconstruction based on the art material

The article discusses theoretical aspects of the analysis dealing with the cultural codes of corporality in the context of art work, which is represented as an objectified result of human activity that embodies the basic concepts, attitudes, values and norms of a particular cultural system. It is concluded that the art reproducing a visually perceivable characteristics of the real world is a reliable source of research of the code of corporeity. The author emphasizes the resources of painting having a propensity to the visibility and concreteness, and sculpture that embodies the artistic image in threedimensional forms.
