The author researches “Сultural capital of the population” as element of the sociocultural portrait of the Sivinsky municipal district. This element is an important part of the socio-cultural portrait, which, in turn, it is possible to assess the sociocultural situation in the district, its position in the sociocultural space of the region and the country. Directly the element "Cultural capital of the population" allows one to judge the cultural sphere of the district, its cultural features; it allows one to determine the relationship with other elements of the portrait, and based on the data obtained to conduct a comparative analysis with other territories.
