Cultural landscape as a text of region’s culture

The article is devoted to the formation of the cultural landscape in Buryatia since the nomadic culture to an industrial one, concerned with the joining of the Republic of Buryatia to Russia, the key periods and stages of formation of the cultural landscape of Buryatia are identified. It is determined that the process of change in a cultural landscape is mostly concerned with the change of government structure, with the development of economy, industry, culture, with the introduction of cultural innovations. In theoretical understanding of the concept «cultural landscape», it is regarded as a kind of «mirror» that reflects a certain vision of the world, worldview and historical consciousness of a people, so the landscape means in many ways, a lot of metaphors, symbols, signs, being in communicative relationship. The cultural landscape also reflects the process of formation of living space - cultural urban one and rural landscape, industrial, religious, sacral landscape. Finally, the cultural landscape as a special form of culture, that forms in a certain historical period, at a certain stage of society development, in a particular natural and climatic zone, in a certain ethnic group and represents itself a unique «text» of culture.
