Culture genesis of maritime activity in the Kola North

The article deals with the sources of study of the ancient maritime culture of the Kola North: the artifacts found in the course of archeological excavations and petroglyphs. The sea fishery tools found at the man sites on the coasts of Barents and White Seas allow to consider the culture genesis of maritime activity in the Kola North since the Mesolithic era, while petroglyphs reflect development of mythological ideas of sea hunters and fishers of the ancient period.
