A cultural analysis of the relationship of modern townswomen to dance for amateur communities (the city of Perm)

The article discusses the popular practice of modern townswomen -classes in dance communities at the amateur level. The main reasons for women's turning to dance activities in the socio-cultural context are revealed. The authors come to the conclusion that such hobbies contribute to the construction of identity, have a therapeutic effect, carry a hedonistic beginning, are an absolute value, which generally correspond to the concept of individualized societies (Z. Bauman, W. Beck).
