Cultural potential of archaeological metal finds

The article examines the phenomenon of duality of corrosion processes of archaeological finds. Most often, these processes are perceived as negative, which entail the destruction of artifacts. However, the fact that corrosion can not only destroy, but also act as a stabilizing factor, preserving important information for axiological analysis is often overlooked.
