Hippie culturology - to the history of the movement

This article discusses the problem of the formation of the youth movement "hippies" and the origins of the term itself. The study substantiates the idea that the issue of the emergence of the youth movement of the 60s is not as unambiguous as it seems at first glance. Foreign historiography identifies several points of view on this issue, which are disclosed in this article. As a research task, an attempt is made to determine the influence of the culture of "flower children" on the world culture of the second half of the 20th century.
