Kirghiz sabre from the ancient grave at the Minusinsk railway station

A rare find of an iron sabre was analyzed in the article. It was found in the process of the excavation of Kirghiz mound in the vicinity of the Minusinsk railway station. The excavation was leaded by R. V. Nikolaev the archeologist worked in Krasnoyarsk History Museum in early 1960s. Researching of the find allowed clarifying the features of blades, curved hilts, cross-guards and scabbard beckets designs. In the article the author analyzed available weapon items from Kirghiz mounds in the Minusinsk Hollow and Tuva. It was revealed that in Kirghiz burials in Tuva, where were active hostilities during the Kirghiz-Uyghurs war in IX AD, weapons presented in greater numbers.
