Laboratory information systems as a separate class of laboratory medicine complex software systems

Laboratory Information systems are specialized software for solving important problems of modern laboratory medicine. However, the commercialization of medical laboratory services necessitates the development of new IT-products, acting as a link between laboratory and medical information systems. In this paper the author describes a new IT-program "Information system for clinical diagnostic laboratory administrator" developed by himself. The main functional task of the new information system is to facilitate the work of contemporary medical laboratories with a large flow of information arising in consequence of active work in the retail sales of medical laboratory services sector.
