«The camp contingent of low able-bodied»: Volga labor camp during the war years

This article describes the initial phase of production activities of Glav-gidrostroya, organization of prison labor by the example of the construction of the Uglich and Rybinsk hydro nodes, which was carried out by the Volga labor camp prisoners. Also it is investigated the number of camp inmates, their morbidity and mortality, the use of labor, living and working conditions.
