Laparoscopic adrenalectomy for patients with adrenal tumors

The first experience in performing laparoscopic adrenalectomies for 15 patients with benign and malignant adrenal neoplasms has been presented. Compared with conventional adrenalectomies laparoscopic adrenalectomy appears to achieve superior results in terms of recovery, hospital stay and morbidity. Conversion to laparotomy was performed in 2 (13.3%) cases. Postoperative complications were observed in 2 (13.3%) patients. Key words: adrenal tumors, laparoscopic surgeries
