Laser cleaning of metal products

The article considers the issue of using laser cleaning technology to remove surface contaminants from various materials. Varieties of operating principles of metal laser cleaning installations, advantages and disadvantages, processed materials and scope are described. Special attention is paid to the use of this technology for preliminary and final cleaning of welded joints, including when welding multi-layer and multi-pass welds.
