Legist type of legal understanding in civil law

The article analyzes the current legal doctrine, civil law and law enforcement practice of the Russian Federation through the prism of the basic principles of the legist type of legal understanding. The authors, guided by the legal positions of the highest bodies of justice of the Russian Federation and the European Court of Human Rights in civil matters, substantiate the conclusions about the need to revise scientific ideas about the essence of domestic law and the dominance of only one type of legal understanding in Russia - the legist.
