The lexical problems of translation of the epic text (on the material of the English and Buryat languages)

The article deals with difficulties and ways of translation of the epic text on the lexical level. The research is provided on the basis of the published variant of the Buryat epic «Abai Geser khubuun» translated into the English language. Various lexical-semantic transformations were pointed out and interpreted involving the ethnic cultural content of the text.
