Lexicographic interpretation of emotion manifestation based on Russian ideographic dictionaries

The article is devoted to the lexical units representing various manifestations of emotions. The subject of the research is the features of its lexicographical interpretation in ideographic dictionaries. Since such lexical units are characterized by complex semantics, which involves the combination of emotive semantical components and components denoting features of speech, behavior, and appearance, different approaches to its categorization are possible. The purpose of the research is to study the place of the corresponding cognitive-ideographic group in ideographic dictionaries of the Russian language. Research methods include ideographic analysis, component analysis, and definitional analysis. The research material comprises different ideographic dictionaries of the Russian language. Various approaches to the division of the conceptual continuum are considered. These approaches lead to differences in the lexicographical representation of vocabulary belonging to the cognitive-ideographic group, as well as to some features of its composition and organization. The article reveals basic trends in the interpretation of the vocabulary of expression of emotions in ideographic dictionaries.
