Wild non-wood forest products - recourses, usage and legal regulation: analytical review

Biological and exploitable volume of basic kinds of forest food resources and medical plants in Russian Federation is considered. The appraisal of methods of estimating of volume of wild plants in forests is given. The analysis of management of usage of forests for food forest recourses and medical plants harvesting under wood lot lease hold and by individuals for internal requirements is made. Data on forest plants harvesting volume has been carried out. The topical interests of legal and regulatory environment of harvesting and processing are captured. Practical experience of regions in management of this sphere is shown. The results of scientific research and progress in forest berries plantation growth has been enounced. The steps for intensification of forest usage for non-timber forest food products harvesting and further development of wild plants field has been proposed.
