The technological process of sawmilling as one of the types of woodworking is considered. The stages of sawmilling are presented, the advantages and disadvantages are listed. The article notes that sawmilling is a necessary process. The received lumber brings great profit to the state and contributes to its further development and improvement. The normative and legislative acts that determine the procedure for the use of forest resources and protection of forests of the Russian Federation are listed.
