Summer population of birds in the north of Moscow

Here we give a description of the summer avifauna on the territory of the Russian State Agrarian Timiryazev University, located in the north of Moscow. In the summer season from June 2014 to September 2017 53 species of birds belonging to 8 orders and 20 families were recorded. The similarity of the avifauna of the built-up area of the University and the Forest Experimental Dacha is quite high. Features of biotopic confinement and behavior of some species of birds in the area of the Academy indicate general changes in the environment and active processes of urbanization
