Summer work camps for pupils of the early 1960s as enclaves of Soviet idealism

Бесплатный доступ

The soviet project was an ideological one, and the 1960s were its last peak. Pedagogical experiments were a significant part of the Soviet utopia in the 1960s. Summer work camps for senior pupils were one of those experiments. The camps became a peculiar enclave in which 1960s' idealism was reproduced. The author analyses how it was happening, what distinguished summer work camps from usual pioneer camps and what provided the reproduction of the Soviet idealism.
