Personality of an offender committing computer crimes

The article deals with the general analysis of personality of an offender committing crimes specified in Chapter 28 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The author presents type classification of such offenders, considers their criminal profile and identifies the main traits that influence their criminal behaviour and determine their unlawful choice. Examination of offender profile was carried out with application of the complex approach that takes into account bio-physiological, socio-demographic, psychological, moral, social role-related, criminal and criminological factors of human development. The author believes that knowledge of personal traits will help not only to form necessary body of evidence on criminal cases in the sphere of cybercrimes, but also identify the circumstances that favour commission of crimes.
