The conditions of mass-selective ion ejection at the boundary of the island of stability formed by a quadrupole additional voltage with a frequency of ω = Ω / 2 are considered. Within the island, the parameters βx and βy are found, which determine the spectrum of ion oscillations along the transverse coordinates X and Y of the quadrupole mass filter. An excitation contour near the stability boundary qb = 0.9082 with a relative width of qb / Δq ≈ 3000 is presented.
