Features of an exterior of foals of the thoroughbred of the Republic of Tatarstan

The features of linear growth of young horses of thoroughbred horse breed in the first six months of life are studied. The superiority in the size of foals of the southern Zakamsky zone (USO PJSC Tatneft named after V.D. Shashin) is noted only in the first month of life. The lag in individual measurements from the young of the southern zone under optimal feeding and maintenance conditions is compensated by the increased intensity of linear growth. Consequently, in the first six months of postembryonic development, the lag detected early enough as a result of the impact of geographical zone conditions on the growth and development of young animals can be compensated by the conditions of their feeding and maintenance by strengthening the linear growth of the corresponding measurements.
