Linguistic quests are a relatively new, but more than effective pedagogical technique. They are actively used by teachers in practice, which emphasizes the need and relevance of describing the category of linguistic quest at the theoretical level. The subject of the study is the theoretical and applied aspects of linguistic quests. The article studies its structure and presents the differences between a linguistic quest and other pedagogical techniques used by teachers of foreign languages in practice (such as games, songs, etc.).
