Linguistic turn in the XX century philosophy and the methodology of social sciences and humanities

The article sets the task of describing one of the main tendencies in contemporary philosophy - the orientation to linguistic and language both as a research subject and method. The main ideas of hermeneutic, analytic philosophy, structuralism and poststructuralism are briefly analyzed in the article. The main argument of the article suggests that the contemporary philosophical reflection on language and the methodology of social sciences and humanities have common background.
