Linguistic diversity of abbreviations in the cardio surgical industry (on the material of medical headlines)

Based on the program documents of the events of Bakulev Center for Cardiovascular Surgery, dedicated to the treatment of cardiovascular pathologies, considers the linguistic variety of abbreviations that function in the headings of medical texts as independent lexical units. The selected lexical corpus is studied using descriptive-analytical and definitional methods, the method of continuous sampling, as well as by comparative and distributive analysis. The results of the research give a detailed idea of the types and components of abbreviations and can be used both in training future medical workers and in translation activities.
