The article observes the perspectives of conceptual analysis in linguistic cultural studies. The historical aspect of conceptual analysis in linguistic cultural studies and also methods to explicate linguistic cultural concepts are discussed. The analysis of the Russian concept 'семья' and the English concept 'family' on the ethno specific level is given as an example
