The article touches upon the linguoculturological aspect of the study of continuity in the Russian cultural tradition in the course of teaching Russian as a foreign language in China. The test results reflect the communicative competence of students and the level of interdisciplinary knowledge, which means that representatives of the modern Russian elite are often associatively equated with the Russian intelligentsia. The concepts of Russian intelligence and elitism do not fit into dictionary definitions, and due to certain stereotypes about the great cultural heritage of Russia, sometimes they are not mistakenly separated. The boundaries of the ethical concept of intelligence are correlated by different training courses for learners of the Russian language in China throughout the entire learning process. Therefore, the life and work of D.S. Likhachev forms an idea of the spiritual and moral essence of the Russian intelligentsia and the intellectual power of the intelligentsia, which is drawn from love for Russia.
