The article is devoted to the English-language signs-nominations of ichthyosphere language culture; linguistic semiotics and linguistic pragmatics of such signs as habitat, pragmatonims (resursonims), signs of ichthyoproducts production and signs-category of commercial fish (viveronims), including signs of other representatives of ichthyofauna (sea, river and pond) in Great Britain in V -XVII centuries are analyzed from diachronic position.
