New life of lyric and journalistic poem “A letter to the XXX century" by R.I. Rozhdestvensky: lessons of V.V. Mayakovsky

In the article the history of writing the poem within the context of social and historical events of the early 1960s is considered. According to the author, the poem "A Letter to the XXX century" by R.I. Rozhdestvensky has played a significant role in the development of lyric and epic creativity in the domestic literary process of the second half of the twentieth century. Taking into account the events from the point of view of historical objectivity, the poet transferred his feelings about the dramatic events that occurred in our country in the twentieth century. The ideological and thematic content of the poem "A Letter to the XXX century" has much in common with the literary activity of “late” V.V. Mayakovsky.
