People with disabilities in the cultural space of the Middle Volga region (XIX century)

The article describes the Russian system of social support for disabled people in the XIX century. The status of persons with disabilities in the social and cultural space of the Middle Volga region is analyzed. The author reviews historical facts of social partnership of the Russian government with individuals and organizations in matters of integration of people with disabilities in sociocultural life of the region.
