Lobbyism, groups of interests and corruption in the USA

The USA is far from being the most corrupted country in the world, but it's familiar with corruption not by hearsay. Now and then scandals connected with corruption take place in the country. Their main "characters" are well-known politicians, officials and lobbyists representing the interests of different "pressure groups". The role and the place of lobbyism and groups of interests in the modern American policy, the reasons of the corruption crimes connected with their activity and the legal mechanism of prevention and suppression of similar actions are considered in this article.
