Logistic Tools for Development of Kazan Urban Agglomeration

The purpose of the development of the Kazan urban agglomeration is to create conditions for the provision of a high quality of life based on the principles of territorial balance and communication connectivity of municipalities belonging to the Kazan urban agglomeration, in accordance with the criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the development of the Kazan urban agglomeration. The high intensity of transport load and the high level of production activity require the use of modern logistics tools to manage the development of the urban agglomeration. The development of distribution logistics centers directly affects the resource availability of production facilities and the activation of their network and production interaction, which, in the context of digital transformation, leads to an increase in industrial production in the region. As part of the analysis of the effectiveness of the functioning of the Kazan urban agglomeration logistics system, the authors identified a significant growing burden on the transport and warehouse infrastructure. The suggested solution should be aimed at the density growth of the road network and transport security of the urban agglomeration population, as well as the workload reduction of the existing warehouse network and the creation of a new, modern logistics infrastructure in the municipalities of the Kazan urban agglomeration, given that this is a fast-growing segment of the economy and an integral part of effective e-commerce. The digital platform proposed by the authors is aimed at these problems’ solution, designed on the basis of modern digital technologies to unite the main participants in the movement of goods and intensification of the use of the logistics infrastructure of the agglomeration.
