Logistics: the profession prestige and modern practice

The article provides arguments in favor of increasing the prestige of the logistics profession in Russia. In the analytical conclusions, general economic prerequisites are correlated with the institutional promotion of the logistics concept, which determines the demand for specialists in the field of logistics and supply chain management. In recommendations for the preparation of legal regulations, priority is given to determining the economic status of logistics and developing professional standards. To harmonize the requirements of professional standards and educational programs, factors to be considered when forming logistics specializations (profiles) are specified.
