Heraclitus’s logos in the history of ancient aesthetics by Aleksey Losev

The purpose of the paper is to analyze the role of visual perception in cognitive and mental activity, as well as the positive and negative consequences of the dominant position of visual culture in the European consciousness. This role is revealed through the comparison of the European means of perception and cognitive traditions with those of other cultures (namely, of the Far and Middle East and Africa).
