Radiation therapy for the locally advanced cervical carcinoma in the condition of the local laser-induced hyperthermia

The paper deals with epidemiology of cervical carcinoma, with the notion locally advanced cervical carcinoma, with the modern principles of radiation therapy for that disease. The second part of the survey is devoted to hyperthermia. The kinds of hyperthermia, mechanisms of its action on the tumor and normal tissues, the results of its use in tumors of various locations, including those of the female reproductive system are described.
