The survey deals with the intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) for Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Dosimetric investigations showed, that in comparison with conventional conformai irradiation IMRT reduces doses to the risk organs and probability of late complications considerably. Some investigators expressed concern over so-called “low dose bath” effect in tomotherapy, which is a kind of IMRT. That problem will probably be solved by either improvement of thomotherapy or by the alternative methods of IMRT. The results of several years of IMRT for Hodgkin’s lymphoma in the Gustave Roussy Institute (France) demonstrate its effectiveness and low complication rate.
