Happiness is one of the most important goals for people throughout history. Generally, happiness refers to a state of well-being and a sense of contentment, which consists of positive moments in all areas of a human’s life. Happiness can be seen as a privilege that anyone aspires to, but since this privilege is not available to everyone, modern people are learning how to create an image of a happy life in the digital space. The image of a “happy person” gradually turns into a simulacrum, replacing the values of real life. Sociological analysis of visual images that are posted on social networks can help in the study of the phenomenon of happiness, as well as the value orientations of modern generations.
