Magic realism in the works of Mo Yan

The article analyses the magical realism in Mo Yan 's literary works. Under the influence of Latin American magical realism Mo Yan had created a unique oriental magical realism on Chinese cultural basis. Mythical, supernatural motives organically compounded with real elements to reflect Chinese reality. For achieving this aim the writer used colorful images and symbolic literary language.
