Бесплатный доступ

The dynamics of number of malaria in the Novosibirsk region in the period from 1924 to 2010 was investigated. Two peaks were revealed: first one in 1924 (over 112 thousand cases) and second in 1936 (over 113 thousand). After the elimination of mass disease (since 1955 year) in the region imported cases dominate, mostly from Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries. However, since 1988 year, a few cases of local transmission of malaria were registered. The mosquitoes of genus Anopheles inhabit in the different freshwater bodies of the researched territory. The maximum density of larvae was 450 individuals per meter square. Present malaria sickness rates in Novosibirsk region are unstable.
