Small business of the subjects of the Far Eastern federal district in the system of strategic planning of the Russian Federation

The goal of the paper is to determine the place of small business in the system of strategic planning of the Russian Federation. The study considers the main strategic planning documents adopted at the federal level, at the level of the macro-region and regions (on the example of the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District). It has been established that small business in the regions of the Far East is considered mainly as a source of development of the economy of the territories. This approach does not take into account the two-way rela-tionship of small business with the external environment of its functioning. This, in turn, hinders the sustainable development of this segment.
