Minimally invasiv methods of surgical correction complicated of residual cavity of the liver after echinococcectomy

The authors analyze the results of puncture-drainage treatment for 76 patients with residual cavity after liver echinococcectomy. The authors conclude that, the ability of ultrasound and TV-X-ray investigation to visualize residual cavity regardless of its condition, determine its topography, size, and with the help of special equipment to produce accurate puncture can significantly shorten the surgery time and radiation exposure to the patient and the doctor performing the percutaneous puncture.
