Based on analytical data from I. N. Kotlyar's et al. monograph (1981), manganese distribution and values of the Mn/Fe ratio (MM, manganese module) in volcanic formations are discussed. The Mn and MM distribution and some Mn and MM correlations with Fe, alcalies and petrochemical moduls serve as geochemical indicators of the petrogenetic and ore-generating processes.
